What is FCCAPC

 

The Family Child Care Association of Pierce County is a professional support organization established in 1968.  FCCAPC is designed and managed by Licensed Family Child Care Providers.

 

FCCAPC GOALS

To promote quality childcare by educating parents and the community about the value of Family Home Child Care.
  • Add professionalism and credibility to the child care profession by collaborating with other organizations concerned with child care issues.
  • Enable networking with other child care professionals by sponsoring monthly General Meetings, trainings and special events.
  • Identify and provide educational opportunities that meet the needs of the Family Child Care Provider.

Attend the annual Family Child Care Association of Pierce County Tour of Homes
Held in May at member price and receive 6 hours of STARS.

Additional Benefits of Becoming a member
With FCCAPC Affiliation with Bates Technical College you receive:

ECE classes, first-year degree program
20 hours STARS class for members and their assistants
20 parent/early childhood education workshops
Resource Center membership
Laminating services

As part of the Child Care Advisory program, members can pursue the first year of the two-year ECE degree at no additional cost.  All students must pre-register for classes.   Classes include lecture, discussion and hands-on learning opportunities.

General Meetings

 

Pierce County Family Child Care Association will provide STARS training at each of the General Meetings.

MEETING INFORMATION

Please come join us for our monthly meetings held the second Wednesday of September, October, November, January, February, March, April, and May.

ADULTS ONLY PLEASE.

You need not be a member to attend. First time attendees may come in at member price.

WHERE: Bates South Campus Cafeteria, 2201 So. 78th St., Tacoma 98409
COST: $15.00 for members / $25.00 for non-members

  • 6:00 – Dinner, networking & vendors
  • 6:30-7:00 Dinner, Business Meeting
  • 7:00 -7:15 Break, Vendors
  • 7:15 -8:15 Guest Speaker/STARS Training
  • DIRECTIONS

    From I-5 take 72nd St Exit #129 towards Tacoma Mall Blvd. Turn right on S. 78th, and then turn into the first driveway on the right. The Administration Bldg. & Cafeteria is the building on the left. There is parking in the front, side this building.
